Lyra acceptable use and moderation
This is part of our Terms of Use. If you use Lyra, this applies to you.
What You Can’t Do on Lyra
You may not use Lyra if:
- You’re under 18
- You break any local, national, or international law
- You’re trying to scam, harass, threaten, or harm others
- You upload viruses or any harmful tech
- You send spam, fake ads, or run shady contests
- You post anything abusive, violent, hateful, or sexually exploitative
- You upload content tied to terrorism, hate groups, or illegal activity
- You use Lyra for commercial schemes without our OK
You also agree not to:
- Copy or reuse parts of Lyra without permission
- Tamper with the site or servers
- Mess with other users’ data or accounts
What Content Is Allowed?
All content you upload must:
- Be legal and truthful
- Represent your actual opinion
- Be relevant to music and your audience
- Respect all copyright, trademark, and privacy laws
Your content must NOT:
- Be hateful, obscene, or misleading
- Incite violence, harassment, or discrimination
- Contain illegal, stolen, or pirated material
- Be sexually explicit or exploitative (especially involving minors)
- Encourage self-harm or suicide
- Impersonate someone else
- Promote scams or criminal activity
- Include ads without permission
For videos: No criminal content, harmful material, or unapproved ads.
What Happens If You Break the Rules?
We may:
- Remove your content
- Suspend or delete your account
- Issue warnings
- Report you to the authorities
- Take legal action
You’ll always get a reason if we take action against your content or account.
Reporting & Disputes
If you see content that violates these rules:
- Click “Report” on the content or
- Email terms@lyramusic.com with the URL and reason
We'll review it. If it breaks our policy, we’ll remove it and explain why.
If your content gets taken down and you disagree:
- If you're in the EU:
- Email terms-eu@lyramusic.com within 6 months
- Our legal team will review and respond in 8 weeks
- If you still disagree:
- Email terms@lyramusic.com for senior management review
- If you’re an EU citizen, you may escalate to an official dispute resolution body
- (we’ll update our site with details once that’s live)
